Provost (Vice-Chancellor)

It is with profound humility and a deep sense of purpose that I assume the role of Vice Chancellor at Gokul Global University, a young and aspiring institution located in the culturally rich region of North Gujarat. As we move into an era of unprecedented change and opportunity in Indian higher education, our university stands poised to contribute meaningfully to the national vision of a self-reliant, innovative, and inclusive India.

The visionary leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister has given us a clarion call through “Viksit Bharat @2047”—to transform India into a developed nation by the 100th year of independence. This ambitious goal demands active participation from every university, every scholar, and every learner. Higher education institutions must become the engines of knowledge creation, skill empowerment, innovation, entrepreneurship, and social transformation. At Gokul Global University, we are committed to being a proactive contributor to this national mission.

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 provides a comprehensive and transformative framework to align our academic endeavours with this vision. Our academic roadmap emphasizes:

  • Multidisciplinary Education and Holistic Development : Adopting flexible curricula and credit-based systems to offer students diverse learning opportunities across disciplines, in tune with the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) and Multiple Entry-Exit framework.
  • Excellence in Research and Innovation : Establishing research centres and fostering a culture of inquiry, innovation, and publication in alignment with the UGC’s Quality Mandates, National Innovation Mission, and global best practices.
  • Global Outlook and Internationalization : Strengthening collaborations with international universities, hosting exchange programs, and adopting global benchmarks to nurture globally competent graduates.
  • Digital Transformation and Emerging Technologies : Leveraging digital tools and blended learning models, enhancing academic delivery through technology-enabled ERP platforms, and preparing students for the Industry 4.0 and AI-driven future.
  • Entrepreneurship and Skill Development : Aligning academic programs with the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF), fostering start-up ecosystems, and building employability and leadership skills among youth.
  • Equity, Access and Sustainability : Ensuring that our campus becomes a model for inclusion, environmental responsibility, and community engagement—resonating with the broader Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Guided by the values of integrity, academic excellence, and social commitment, I bring with me over two decades of experience in institutional leadership, curriculum innovation, health education, and international collaborations. As a custodian of this new chapter at Gokul Global University, I pledge to create an enabling academic environment that empowers students to thrive and contribute meaningfully to Viksit Bharat .

Let us work collectively—with purpose, passion, and perseverance—to transform our university into a centre of learning that inspires innovation, nurtures values, and contributes to national and global progress.
